BRAGA PARQUE is the biggest and most modern shopping in Minho region, in the North of Portugal.

Mundicenter decided to increase Braga Parque’s commercial area to best suit the needs of the local community. The city has grown a lot in the past years, especially because of the proximity of the prestigious University of Minho and the Iberian Nanotechnology Research Lab, due to the good network of highways with near cities but also because it is the 2nd biggest city in the North of Portugal. With such a large area and so many stores it was necessary to develop a way to help people finding the store or service they were looking for inside the facilities. In a world full of smartphones, laptops, PDA and GPS devices, a static directory isn't enough. BRAGA PARQUE decided to step up and populated the shopping floors with Displax Pathfinder. Now people can browse the available stores by its category (Women Clothing, Cinema, Bookstores, Kiosks, amongst others) or by name, writing on a virtual keyboard. Each Pathfinder is georeferenced and shows on the map the path from the current location to the desired store. Users can also browse the available services (ATM, Bathroom, Information desk, amongst others) as well as see the latest news or leave a comment or suggestion.
