By nominating Displax as finalist for its Europe 100 award, Red Herring recognized the company’s innovative potential and investment in Research & Development. In February, Displax announced its new DISPLAX Multitouch Technology solution that will be available to the market this year. The innovative technology transforms any non-conductive flat or curved surface into a multitouch screen by combining a new patented controller and software with a standard transparent, thinner-than-paper nanowired polymer film from third-party suppliers. When the film is applied to glass, plastic or wood, the surface becomes interactive. Content is provided by (rear-)projection or a LCD. It is a lightweight and highly scalable solution, ranging from seven inches (18 centimeters) to 135 inches (+three meters) across the diagonal thus opening up a wide range of commercial applications suitable for indoor or outdoor displays. The multitouch technology solution can be integrated with standard LCD screens as well.

The Top 100 winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony on May 27, 2010 at the Red Herring Europe Conference in Paris.
